Multidisciplinary University Research Initiative (MURI) – Limb Regeneration

The MURI project is funded by the Army Research Office to identify genes and genetic pathways that are associated with axololt limb regeneration. Approximately 8,000,000 estimates of gene expression have been generated during the first 28 days of limb regeneration; these profiles are accessible through the Genome Resources link on Sal-Site. The figure below shows the number of times that each of 20,000 Affymetrix probesets were identified as signficant during regeneration. This MURI project is collaborative among Tulane University (Ken Muneoka), UC-Irvine (David Gardiner), and University of Kentucky (Randal Voss and Arnold Stromberg).
